There are many Jewish holidays. Some are happy and gay, some are historical, and some are not gay. The Jewish people celebrate them for many many years all over the world.
The holidays have different customs, different history, different food to eat and different way of celebrating.
I like Purim best of all. It is the merriest holiday. Purim means lot. It was long long ago in Persia when the Jewish girl Ester saved the Jewish people. Being the Queen she successfully helped her people to survive.
So why do many people and among them I like Purim? Purim us a Jewish carnival! Children, adults, actors put on different masks, dresses, costumes. They walk along the streets, play Purim shpiles.
It is a very picturesque event. We eat a lot of sweet things. Men may drink a lot of wine. People feel free, happy and gay.
A very important thing of Purim is to send to relatives, friends and simply many people Mishloah – Manot, sweet and tasty things. At Purim we bake biscuits with poppy Oznei Haman. Let this holiday be happy for many many years.
